This photo is from Teide National Park, on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. This park is a World Heritage Site, since 2007. The plant is a Tajinaste. The red flowers form a pyramid up to 3 feet in height. Wow!

Mount Teide has the highest elevation in Spain, and it is the third largest volcano in the world. This is the most visited national park in Europe, and second in the world! Mount Fuji in Japan is the only volcano that gets more annual visitors.
